“I bought a brand new soul today. For the old one had a stain of a love that went away. The painters are in the desert and the musicians are in Spain. Its just so hard to know which way to go when the lights are all green” J. Bañuelos from “You've only got today”.

My music is drawn from the many journeys I have taken, weather it be a small jouney to the ocean with my skateboard to a 5 year stint in Andalucia, my music is just a reflection of the people, places and emotions. Without them, I would have no song. it took awhile to process the many lessons that have been bestowed onto me and I have taken each one close to my heart, they have become apart of me and they change with me. Each time I play my guitar I get reminded of where I was and where I want to be. I want to share my music with you all and I look forward to the next journey, the one where we meet.

Solo Show at Narmada Winery on 9/4/16

narmada-wineryHey Familia,

I can’t believe the summer is getting ready to take a rest and the gorgeous fall will come and sweep us away. Never fear, wine is near. I am so fortunate to be performing at a Narmada Winery in Amissville Virginia on September 4th, 2016. Just in time for the labor day swing of things and a great time to try this amazing winery. I was with my buddy Darrel last year on a wine tour and we stopped in and were immediately enchanted by the wines and the atmosphere, I just had to take out my guitar and play. It felt like I was playing in Spain again with the rolling hills that surround Amissville and the vineyards, I got the nerve to see if they would have me back and sure enough here I come. The show starts at 2pm and ends at 5 and I will be playing some traditional flamenco along with some original tunes and some tunes I want to try out for an EP I am preparing for the end of the year. It will be a great time with some good tunes and great wines. Narmada is a one of a kind winery which has award winning wines and an atmosphere that cannot be beat. I know its a trip from Pittsburgh but hey it’s Labor day, come out and take a stroll over the Shennedoahs and grab some wine. Please click on the link to find Narmada’s Website and directions info.

Flamenco Wednesdays @Pallantia Restaurant 7-10pm

Happy New Year familia,

I sure am looking forward to this new year filled with music, travel and lots of fun. To start off on the right foot, I am going to be performing a regular Wednesday night gig at Pallantia Spanish restaurant on Wednesdays from 7-10pm. This is a new and exciting restaurant in Shadyside and I am happy to be playing alongside James Bond, from Alba Flamenca, as a duo guitar group. The restaurant has bar seating as well as table seating so you can enjoy tapas to a full meal and I hear the Paella is mouth watering. So come out and enjoy some great music and food and let’s keep the festivities rolling. Ciao for now.

New track up “The Tale of Dawn”

Hey Family, I just posted a new track on my bandcamp page and it is called “The Tale of Dawn” and I recorded it back in 2008 on my first album Inside the Sun. As I go through my songs that I’m setting aside to record, I tend to go over older songs that still have meaning and strong connection to. Especially during Thanksgiving, I get reminded as to why I make music and why I want to share it with all of you. I am thankful to play for all of you and this song is a strong reminder of where I began my musical journey and where it will take me. Love to you all and please share a seat at the table with someone you Love.

Happy Holidays,

Jon Banuelos
